Your Ceremony

I will work with you to create a ceremony that tells your story. Whether you are looking to keep the event secular and short or a longer religious ceremony, I will help write what supports your vision. I will write a ceremony to capture the soul of your relationship and set an atmosphere to start your marriage. These are the words that will set you off  as you embark on the journey of life together.

Sections of a Wedding Ceremony

THE WEDDING CEREMONY

Opening Remarks

I'll come out before the start of the ceremony and get everyone ready. This is a chance to set aside any housekeeping such as silencing cellphones or provide additional information about the day.

Processional

The entrance of the bridal party.

Welcoming

This is the start of the ceremony. Your guests will be welcomed and I make some other short remarks.

Family Blessing/Thank You

This is a chance to ask your parents, members of your family or other important individuals to give their blessing to your union. It's also an opportunity to thank you parents for all their support.

Readings

Readings about relationships, love or religion. I have a selection of readings I'm personally fond of on my site.

Vows

The exchanging of the vows. I can provide advice on writing personal vows if you'd like. You can find prewritten vows to use on my site as well.

Declaration of Intent

This is where you will be asked if you take your partner in marriage. This is the most important part of the ceremony. This is where you declare your desire to wed your partner publicly.

Unity Ceremony

There are many types of unity ceremonies out there. I will work with you to facilitate whatever is necessary depending on your request.

Ring Ceremony

The ring bearer can present the rings. Other times family members will pass the rings around and then to the front. This is where you will be asked to repeat after me as you slide the ring onto your partner's hand.

Additional Blessing

If your families or  religions or cultures have a traditional blessing this is an appropriate moment to add that.

Pronouncement and Kiss

By the power vested in me, I pronounce you married and you may kiss your partner.

Announcement

It will be my pleasure to announce you as a married couple for the very first time.

Recessional

The exiting of the bridal party and the new couple.

Every aspect of your ceremony is completely customizable.
